We are the Massachusetts chapter of the International Cake Exploration Societe. ICES was founded in 1976  as a non-profit organization with the purpose of promoting and advancing the art of cake decorating and sugar arts. Currently there are chapters and clubs throughout North America and the world.

The Massachusetts chapter holds 4 meetings each year on the last Sunday of September, January, March and June.  These meetings are open to all ICES members. Guests are encouraged to come and see what we are all about. Each meeting showcases both local and national talents with live demos of different techniques in the sugar arts. Please see our Upcoming Events page for further information. In July or August of each year ICES members are invited to the national conference, a multi day event featuring live demonstrations,  hands on classes, a world class vendors mart, and of course, a cake exhibit featuring members’ cakes and creations from across the globe.

Both local chapters and the ICES national organization also publish newsletters for members highlighting upcoming events, chapter news, members’ work, and articles of interest to sugar artists. Our current local chapter issue can be downloaded from the Newsletter page.

ICES also encourages the advancement of sugar skills through its scholarship programs that are awarded each year through the national organization. For more information, or to apply, please visit the national ICES site at www.ices.org/scholarships/scholarships.htm
